I know, I know. It's been almost a year since my last post. Me being sick + work + personal drama = not a good combo and has resulted to me neglecting my blog. Again. I actually considered giving up blogging altogether coz I can't seem to fully commit to it.

But since I am on a 14 day medical leave, I have nothing left to do. So might as well update, right? Turns out, I can only take so much series and Koreanovelas in a day.  Plus I have this ongoing pact with my friend Rhea of Annyeongism that we will regularly update our blogs from now on.

Since CNBLUE is holding another concert here in Manila this Friday (19 Sept), I thought it would be fitting to do a  Way Back Wednesday post of their press conference of the Manila leg of their Blue Moon Tour last year, which I was invited to.

It was the first time (I think) that a KPop band was opening their press conference to the public, so I expected a bit of chaos. What I wasn't prepared for was the actual MAYHEM that I witnessed:

The stampede as soon as the mall opened

I guess the mall security and event organizers underestimated the power of crazed fan girls. They just weren't prepared for all the pushing and shoving to the point that the barricade actually gave out. Me and my friends literally flew off from our designated seats because of all the pushing that happened. Never in my life have I feared for our safety, in a KPop event no less!

Lots of pushing. Even the guards weren't prepared for the power of crazed fan girls

The crowd from our perspective. BOICEs unite!

Someone actually lost a shoe from all the commotion.

Me & my ultimate BOICE friends waiting for the press conference to start

All this madness and the band wasn't even in the building yet! So you could just imagine when the boys of CNBLUE actually went on stage and all hell went lose.

In my opinion, opening a press conference to the public was a pretty bad idea because you can barely hear what the boys were saying because of the screams. I doubt if any of the media people present were able to get a decent soundbyte from the interview.

But despite all these, it was pretty awesome to see the CNBLUE boys on stage in all their glory. (Forgive the bit blurry pics as the media people were literally on top of each other trying to get a decent shot of the band)

The boys of CNBLUE! Finally.

The band leader Yonghwa

My CNBLUE "bias", bassist Jung Shin

Interview time with the boys (where you can barely hear anything from all the screaming)

Forgive the fan girling picture, but this is the closest I can get to Jung Shin! <3

Post- press conference craziness with the chingus (friends)!

It was indeed one heck of an experience! And I can't believe it was just last year! And in just a few days, the CNBLUE boys will be back here in Manila for their latest world tour:

Will we get a part 2 of our CNBLUE experience last year? Let's wait and see but in the meantime, here's their Can't Stop 2014 Tour Playlist to psych everyone for Friday!
