Tornadoes and mystery

November 25 - Did some last minute styling for Jerome Lorico and Veejay Floresca's benefit fashion show at the SMX Convention Center. Was totally excited about it because Jerome and Veejay are one of the most talented young designers in the country, aside from the fact that I did the coverage for Veejay's Grand Allure Collection for Philippine Fashion Week Spring / Summer 2011.
Since I got the chance to talk to Veejay last Fashion Week, I knew that his collection was inspired by hurricanes and tornadoes. So I did my best to interpret his vision with wild hair and nature-inspired accessories:
As for Jerome, I had no idea which particular collection he was gonna show since he didn't participate in this season's Fashion Week because he had to fly to Japan for a design competition. All I knew from the brief was that Jerome will be using mostly blacks for his palette and knits for the fabric. I was inspired by the enigma surrounding his collection, so taking a clue from my favorite director, Stanley Kubrick, I decided to play on the mystery:
I think it worked pretty well and I had a blast working on the show. Not bad for my last gig before my post-Fashion Week vacation! Labels: adventures and (mis)adventures, fashion, models, styling, work stuff ![]() ![]() ![]() |
